  • 400 g of Alma de Cacau dark chocolate
  • 1 can (approximately 395 g) of condensed milk
  • 50 g unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt (optional)

Preparation Method

  1. Chop the Dark Chocolate into small pieces to make it easier to melt. Set aside.

  2. In a heavy-bottomed pan, place the condensed milk and butter. Bring to a low heat and stir continuously to prevent the mixture from sticking or burning. Once the butter is completely melted, add the chopped chocolate.

  3. Continue stirring the mixture over low heat until the chocolate has completely melted, forming a smooth cream. If desired, add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor and vanilla extract, mixing well.

  4. The ideal fudge is when the mixture is thick but still pliable. To test, drop a small amount onto a cold plate – if it holds its shape for a few seconds without spreading too much, it’s ready to go.

  5. Line a square tin (approximately 20 x 20 cm) with baking paper and pour the fudge mixture evenly into it. Smooth the top with a spatula and leave to cool to room temperature. Then place the tin in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge has set.
